Taiwan 2017 Part 4 | Taichung XinShe Castle & Miyahara

We continued to Taichung's XinShe Castle which is this beautiful little park that's almost in the middle of nowhere. A lot of people have different opinions of this place since it truly is a park where you just relax and appreciate the scenery so some might say there's nothing to do other than have photo shoots. Since I came here at early winter in Taiwan, I honestly loved the experience because I got to experience a little autumn! (FINALLY)

I honestly didn't expect to see so much red in this park and saying I was shook is an understatement.

Spent around 15 minutes taking photos here huhu. Only wish I knew there would be red trees so I would've dressed for it. Haha!

There's more than just natural scenery here but a lot of beautiful rustic architecture as well!

Honestly just an all-around gorgeous place to visit, but I think it's best to go during the colder season?

True enough, this place is a frequent location for pre-nuptial shoots and probably photo shoots in general! It's like being transported to different country, after all.

Prenup shoot!

You can also have a nice little picnic here.

And that's pretty much it for XinShe Castle! We headed back to the bus and went to the famous Miyahara.

Miyahara is a popular boutique in Taiwan that sells premium local snacks and pastries and its building actually used to be an old eye hospital that's been repurposed to become this luxurious store! Very reminiscent of TWG's aesthetic!

It's also really cool how this place has an entire section just for pet snacks and pet-themed packaging! I really don't remember Taiwan having this much market consideration for people with pets, it's so cool!

Everything is so gorgeously vintage here!

And the beautiful packaging makes the stuff here great for gifts!

The main attraction in Miyahara, however, is the ice cream shop! It's actually a bit pricey and everyone says it's one of the must-trys of Taichung.

This little space was filled with people, it was so crazy!

There weren't any crazy flavors. Just the classics.

We got one passionfruit ice cream topped with biscuits and pastries that you could buy in the Miyahara store. It was alright? I just don't think this combination worked because the sweet-sour passionfruit didn't really go well with the biscuits.
The other one was Rum Raisin, Vanilla, and Raspberry. This one was a lot better since the ice cream flavors leaned on the sweeter side. BUT I don't really think this ice cream deserves the hype because I've tasted tons of better ice cream for a fraction of the price. It wasn't really creamy and felt more ice than it did cream. I wouldn't really recommend it. We did get to try a really good ice cream a little later on in the trip so watch for that!

Stay tuned for more! :)
