Marco Polo Ortigas Part 3 | Breakfast at Cucina + Cafe Pronto

After a lovely night's sleep, we started our day by trying the welcome treats that were left in our room while we were exploring the hotel.

I wasn't really expecting anything but the treats were all pretty amazing! All truly delicious and not too sweet. Such a pleasant surprise!

We headed to Cucina to have the breakfast buffet.

I absolutely love the fruit and yogurt section. There's an option for full fat and low-fat Greek Yogurt. There's also a variety of preserved fruits that would go perfectly with the yogurt.

So many fruit sauces to create your perfect parfait!

Or you could also just opt for fresh seasonal fruits.

Fresh pressed juices! The beetroot and papaya is pure so they're essentially tasteless but super good for you. I suggest using the Carrot Orange juice as a base then mixing with the other juices to keep things fruity and refreshing!

There's also a cool noodle station! My sister ordered the Spicy Chicken Noodles. It was surprisingly really salty though. The noodles and the components inside were delicious but the soup was really salty.

There's some nice variety in the breakfast food choices. There are Western choices as well as comforting Filipino choices such as salted egg, tomatoes, and onions!

Sausages, pork steak, and meat balls. The Meat Balls are especially good!!

There's also a congee and soup station.

Cold cuts are also available. Smoked Salmon is served in Bagle Sandwiches to the right of these.

Cheese plates are always nice to see.

I also enjoyed the Bread and Butter Pudding. It works really well with the Vanilla Sauce!

The true Filipino breakfast station in the buffet! Loved how comforting everything looked!

The breads have their own beautiful cove in Cucina.

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast at Cucina. The quality is definitely evident. Also, the selection isn't so big that you wouldn't be able to try everything. You can expect to leave very satisfied! :)

Our last spot to visit in the hotel is on the ground floor which is Cafe Pronto.

Cafe Pronto is actually the first thing you see once you enter the hotel so it was the perfect way to cap off our staycation.

I was so tempted to buy a box of the chocolates because I loved them so much from the welcome platter in the room!

I got myself the Peppermint Ginger Iced Tea which is incredibly herbal and probably not for everyone. Adding sugar syrup won't help the strong overwhelming herbal notes. However, I really like the refreshing aftertaste. The first gulp can be very unpleasant though. Haha!

The Grilled Adobo Sandwich is a very tasty treat and definitely worth trying. The salty adobo is balanced out by the crisp bread is just a party in your mouth.

We finished with the Chocolate Haven Mini Cake which, again, wasn't too sweet, but light and creamy. I would've liked it better if the chocolate mousse inside was more dense and had a deeper bittersweet flavor.

And with that, my stay at the Marco Polo Ortigas ended. Overall, it was definitely a lovely stay and I hope I can come back and enjoy everything again in the future! Definitely worth checking them out!

The Marco Polo Hotel Ortigas is located along Meralco Avenue, Pasig City.
