Came to the realization recently that I still have a very low affinity for legitimate formal wear, mostly because I don't really attend a lot of formal events. This is an outfit I wore to attend my college's ball. Every year, to mark the end of our own brand of hell week, also known as architecture week, the student council hosts a fancy ball, which I've never attended until this year. The theme this time around was "Cruise" and I had no idea what it meant. The fashion blogger in me thought that maybe they meant for it to be nautical? With that in mind, this was the outfit that I came up with. Read on for more details!
Went for a more laid-back aesthetic because I've never tried it before for formal wear. Accented the outfit with a nautical-inspired belt just to show my tiny effort to conform with the theme.
My trusty TVRUS Navigator watch to match my nautical belt.
Currently my favorite pair of leather shoes. I really wish Milanos would release something similar in black as I am in dire need of black school shoes. Haha!
MALDITA Man button-down, UNIQLO blazer and slacks, MILANOS brogues, TVRUS watch, Penshoppe belt.
Would you try this look?
Too hot is men were to wear it in Manila on a day to day basis. But overall, love how you put all these pieces together!
ReplyDeleteI think you pulled it off! It's a good looking formal outfit. But what I am curious to know, was your interpretation of the theme spot on? I really wouldn't know what to think if it just said "cruise."
ReplyDeleteIt turns out they meant they wanted it to be as fancy as the ball in the movie Titanic. Haha! So weird :))
DeleteI love the suit and I especially like those leather shoes. I hope you're able to get them in black one day like you want!
ReplyDeleteVery dapper look indeed. The outfit becomes you really. Executive looking and I would say the outfit projects a very professional image.
ReplyDeleteLove the whole look! You look great in a suit. I'm curious, did you get it right? Was the theme all about cruising? Regardless, the outfit is awesome!
ReplyDeleteTo this day, I'm still not sure! Haha! Everyone was super fancy and did not resemble cruising the ocean at all. XD
DeleteThat's a great outfit. You look formal and at the same time look comfortable too.
ReplyDeleteLove this look! If only men can walk around wearing this more often and not just in weddings or formal events. But this weather though! Good luck wearing that!
ReplyDeleteNice touch on the belt and watch. Gives the outfit a little more character.
ReplyDeleteI miss it when you are young and free to break conventions in fashion. When you are older and professional, you tend to be confined to accepted conservative styles.
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing in a suit although I wish you had taken your pics outdoors. I think they would have really popped and stood out more. That watch just make your suit pop even more.
ReplyDeleteYou look nice in that outfit. I just have one sentiment, It could've been more nicer if you have shorten the length of your coat. Aside from that, two thumbs up 😇👍👍
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Jason!!! You look dapper... All suited up you look smart & stylish!
ReplyDeleteI love this look. You look like a rich guy in a Korean series. I wanna have that leather shoes too. i hope you had fun in your college's ball.
ReplyDeleteOh lala, you are looking very handsome in your suit Jason! I love the clean lines and crisp colour of the shirt.
ReplyDeleteSuit suits you so much!! You should wear more of it. Belt and watch are highlights as well.
ReplyDeleteI think, your whole cruise look would have been better with black shoes? although your black brogues look nice. Must pressure Milanos to release black ones.
ReplyDeleteIt's a nice, professional look. Great watch too.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great look. Can't go wrong with a suit. Always looks good.
ReplyDeleteThis time you are dressed very formally and believe you carry all very nicely.
ReplyDeleteI like men in suits and you paired them very well. The DW watch is cool too.
