I've been wanting to debut my new denim jacket for a while now especially since David Guison has been posting tons of denim-on-denim looks that I've been meaning to try! I guess it took me so long since the weather hasn't exactly been jacket-friendly. But anywho, here's a denim-on-denim-on-denim look that I really love and it's put together with pieces that are already probably in your closet!
I never thought denim jackets would work with me but this one from 21 Men was a great fit, not to mention a great deal at 700 bucks! Paired it with a slightly darker pair of jeans and light wash denim sneakers for contrast!
Fierce pose din pag may time. Haha!
Anyone can seriously pull of denim-on-denim. It's all about the play on shades and textures. As long as you don't look like you're wearing a matching suit, you'll be fine! LOL
21 Men jacket, Topman tee, UNIQLO legging jeans, Reva denim sneakers, Lacoste watch.
Tell me what you think! :)
Awesome fashion sense. More power to your blog!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Marc! I can't believe I only saw this now. :( I really really appreciate it! More power to yours as well :D
DeleteThis is usually the attire of some male OFWs including myself. A fresh and cozy look for malling and cinema...or in cold weather because of the jacket.
ReplyDeleteThose clothes look great on you! Wow. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe play on different shades of denim is actually clever. It gives more dimension and texture to the look, rather than making it monochromatic
ReplyDeleteI always love the way you pose and your attire!~ They're looks just amazing!~
ReplyDeleteYou really have a taste for picking what shoes to wear. I love it! Casual na casual but with style lang ang peg.
ReplyDeleteDenim on denim is really another trend this year and your outfit or styling on this post is a great example. I didn't know there are denim sneakers! Are they real denim or just denim-like? :)
ReplyDeleteThe sneakers are actually just washed canvas sneakers but they look like denim! :D
DeleteIt's trendy, but I don't know if I can bear wearing this outfit! :-) I am not a big fan of denims. Plus it adds to the factor that I am in a tropical country so, it's kinda hard to wear this type of outfit for me. :D
ReplyDeleteWhat a great look - I doubt I could ever go as far as wearing denim on denim, let alone another denim addition but the sneakers are seriously cool!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I would look good in denim jackets. And especially not during this very hot summer! Is it warm to wear one?
ReplyDeleteDenims are just timeless. Denim combo definitely brings an elegant aura in your outfit.
ReplyDeleteDenims are timeless fashion. I can imagine 10 years down the road and our kids will be writing about them! hahaha... it will be so cool!
ReplyDeletelove the denim on denim. a denim jacket is a necessity and i always wear one when its warm enough here
ReplyDeleteYou are one of the male fashion bloggers I like reading their blog plus your outfit ofcourse
ReplyDeleteNot everyone can pull this off, I've seen it on my dad once and it didn't look great although they were in different shades haha. Maybe it's because of his belly or he just didn't carry himself in a confident way that it affected the overall look. Can't see my husband in this style too, he's more of a tuxedo guy. I'm going to try the denim on denim on me, but maybe when it gets a little colder in Manila. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a similar shoes like yours. I love denim fashion too. But not wearing often =\
ReplyDeleteI remember back in the 1980s when denim on denim was the rage. I'm glad to see a version of it is back I'm style. I'm not a huge denim fan but I love your look.
ReplyDeleteHaven't really tried a denim-on-denim ensemble yet, but your outfit here definitely inspired me to do so! Love the styling! And I agree with you on pairing something light-washed with a darker one. That goes for other styles as well -- a certain color-on-a-certain-color, print-on-print, lace-on-lace, etc. As long as there's contrast, PWEDE! :D
ReplyDeleteYou can never go wrong with this colour of denims and sneakers. Lovely combination of colours for this summer time.
ReplyDeleteI never knew denim-on-denim can look so cool. I always thought that it would look too "crowded'. You pulled the look off well ;)
ReplyDeleteI like denim jackets but recently the weather in my country is very hot and humid. Sometimes i only wear cotton tshirt baby, ye
