We continued onto a quick cruise across Sun Moon Lake.
It was so dark and foggy so it was quite a moody ride across the lake.
We stopped at this island with a temple before circling back to the city.
There's some pretty good tea eggs here so get them if you have the chance!
You can reach the temple above by taking the stairs behind this gateway. It's only a short climb and the views are quite lovely :)
The temple at the top.
View of the island from earlier! Afterwards, we went back to the port and ended our day.
The next morning started with a congee breakfast! This made me miss having congee in Manila! I really should find a great place soon! :)
Our first visit was to the Cihu Mausoleum and it's a lovely traditional park to visit despite it being a mausoleum for former Taiwan president Chiang Kai Shek.
There's a culture park across the bridge where there are tons of colorful statues. I wasn't able to check it out since we were headed to the mausoleum side which was ways away.
We continued onto the path going to the Mausoleum.
Not much to say except the walk is quite long and you have to walk it again going back so make sure to wear comfortable footwear!
In this lake area, black ducks can be found and people believe that if you hold out your arms and called out to them and they actually approached you, you were the next president of Taiwan. Haha!
At the end of the path is the mausoleum.
The main mauseolum where the raised casket is. I didn't take a photo of the room because I was unsure if it's okay.
Outfit Details: ZARA Man jacket, Penshoppe tee, H&M skinny jeans, Palladium boots.
Stay tuned for more! :)
