There are also shops where you can rent or buy hanbok to suit the scene of the traditional houses. An expected find here was an Etude House shop with a buy-one-take-one deal on a sunscreen that was quite expensive here in Manila so I splurged a bit. Haha!
Once you peer through the alleys, you'll start to see the hanok or traditional homes.
Another unexpected find was the Granhand store! I've actually never heard of the brand until my friend, Ruby, told me about its Instagram fame, so we decided to check it out.
Sadly, photos aren't allowed inside. Anyway, visiting Granhand is an interesting experience! They sell different products that emit scents such as perfume, oils, and incense! They all smell insanely wonderful and it's also worth noting that the staff are excellent in English so they can assist you without a hitch. It also doesn't hurt that they look like freakin' actors in a Korean drama. Haha!
I loved the unique scents offered here so much that I got myself a bottle of their Marine Orchid perfume. Still obsessed with it to this day! They also offer 20% discount if you pay in cash.
Next, we headed to Hangang Park. You can get there in a number of ways because the park itself is huge. It runs along the Hangang River, so the wherever the Riverbed is, there's a park. We decided to go to its Ichon area because it was nearer to last destination of the day - Hongdae. Haha!
From Ichon station, it's about a 10 minute walk to the park. I highly recommend going at sunset so the sun won't be too intense and you can take a lot of beautiful golden hour photos!
Definitely almost scenes out of Korean Dramas.
Outfit details: Kilo X Meters button-down, UNIQLO easy shorts, ALDO sneakers, From Korea tote messenger.
While the others went off to rent bikes, Lica and I stayed behind to rest and watch the sunset. (Also because we don't know how to ride bikes LOL)
