Ramen’s certainly making waves at such large scales nowadays, it’s crazy! People are so willing to join in on the noodle hype that the waiting list in the restaurant can be a little insane, which is why when my family decided to check it out, we headed there at 5pm and we were STILL in waiting! Talk about popular!
Anywho, one of the most famous ramen places at the moment is Hokkaido Ramen Santouka. I’ve seen it all over my favorite bloggers’ Instagrams so I thought, why not start here?
I love that the big light fixture looks like an empty bowl! LOL
Hokkaido Ramen Santouka offers a LOT of dishes. Not just ramen! (Though you’d be silly not to have it! Haha!) They also have different kinds of snacks as well as Katsu dishes similar to Yabu if you’re a fan of the crispy treat! :D
We first tried their Gyoza, which is basically the traditional meat dumpling dipped in a sweet sauce! This was definitely a great way to start our meal!
Next are the grilled pork cheeks called Tokusen Toroniku. These were deliciously tender and well-seasoned!
Then, the main event, the ramen! I ordered the Shio Char Siu Ramen.
If there’s one thing I want to say first, it’s that my photo doesn’t do the taste justice because this ramen is just so good! The flavors jive so well but they don’t overwhelm. Everything feels very balanced. Also, there are more pork slices here so I am soooo happy I ordered this! LOL
Jokes aside, Hokkaido Ramen’s Santouka’s serving is quite generous, the food is excellent, it’s not too pricey, as well, which is a definite plus! I honestly can’t wait to go back when my family goes to Glorietta again! :)
Hokkaido Ramen Santouka is located at G/F of Glorietta 4, and is also opening a branch at The Mall of Asia soon.
