Marcia Adams

Tagaytay is such a freaking treasure trove of awesome restaurants. Every time my family and I take a trip there, we never seem to run out of places to try. Seriously!

My dad’s the culprit behind it, mostly. He religiously follows a food journalist in The Daily Inquirer, I think, and whatever he reads about, he lists down in his phone. And just like that, he’s ready to attack! LOL

One of our more recent discoveries is this place called, Marcia Adams. If you know me, then you know that I’m a sucker for Mediterranean food, so I was beyond thrilled to know that this was Marcia Adams’s specialty.

One little thing that bothered me though is the lack of signage in the area. If you’re in a car, NEVER take any roads that slope downward. This was our mistake and we almost couldn’t get back up on the main road because the wooden sign was misleading. From the outside, the entrance is actually this relatively small gate, but don’t be fooled.

Inside is a large and incredibly beautiful estate. My architectural senses (If there is such a thing.) went into overdrive upon taking everything in. Whoever designed this place is a freaking genius, I tell you. Absolutely beautiful.

Everything felt so… lovely. It was this perfect mix of everything, and the beautiful interiors can literally take someone’s breath away. I’ve never been to Europe, but I have a feeling this place doesn’t fall short in providing that sensation.

Even before the food, everything is just such a feast for the eyes! Gaaaah, it’s been so long since we ate here and still, I’m spazzing at how pretty this place is!

Now, let’s get down to business. Before I continue, I think it’s important you know that Marcia Adams is NOT cheap. It’s definitely not a place you can go back to again and again just because you felt like it. (That’s unless you’re single. LOL)

Anyways, it’s the perfect place to spoil yourself (And your family!) and have an incredibly grand feast. Priced at 700php and above, this deal already includes an appetizer, a main course, as well as a dessert! Some dishes have no additional charge, but others have a little extra to add to the main price if you choose to order them.

The appetizer I chose was seasoned shrimp on some sort of biscuit. Let me just say, I’m glad I didn’t have to share this dish, because it was fantastic. I’m quite biased when it comes to putting lemon juice on something but this was just perfecto. :)

My main course: Rabbit Stew! This was my first time to try rabbit ever, and I have to say it was really good. The sauce is basically kaldereta with Marcia Adams’s very own take to the classic dish.

My favorite would have to be the Lavender Creme Brulee. This was gorgeous. It was sweet but not too sweet, creamy but not too creamy. It’s amazing in all the right ways. Thinking about it now makes me crave for it so badly! Hahaha!

So this was pretty much my Marcia Adams experience. I’m really excited to go back and try their other dishes! So much love for this place!

Marcia Adams is located at J.P. Rizal St., Brgy. Sikat, 4123 Alfonso, Cavite.
