I’ve been wanting to review this place for quite some time now, but with all the posts in my queue it was hard to sort out which should come before what; it was pretty crazy to organize it all, so now I’m really happy to finally share my gastronomical adventure at The Wildflour: Cafe & Bakery!
It’s a rare treat for me to go to the Global City. My family just goes here to partake in fun runs and afterwards, we would eat at one of the countless food establishments available in the vicinity. In today’s case, The Wildflour!
Even before I entered, I already knew I was going to love this place. My breath was already pretty much taken away by the interiors. Two words: Hipster. Heaven.
Everything is ridiculously pretty and so retro that I almost forgot I wasn’t in another country, but then again, BGC almost always does that to you. Ibang level na talaga to!
Delicious pastries are displayed by the window, ready to be ogled at, bought, and eaten by several hungry customers. According to the servers, not a crumb is left at the end of every day! That just made my mom buy a few boxes for us as well as for her relatives, and when I tried the pastries the next day, I immediately understood why. THEY’RE SO GOOD! My favorite would have to be this croissant/roll pastry that was lightly glazed with a sweet syrup. This was just pure perfection!
I couldn’t help but ooh and aah at the place. It was just so perfect! If I were rich and in the area, I would TOTALLY TOTALLY go here every single day. #Spazzing
The food’s a bit pricey. That’s probably my main concern, but then again, aren’t all food establishments in BGC? I promise you, though, it’s just soooo worth it! :)
After taking numerous photos of the interiors, I finally settled down to chow on my order!
This is their specialty: Kimchi Fried Rice with Steak and Eggs.
In a word, this dish was pretty freaking AMAZING. The fried rice, alone, was sublime. It had this subtle spice and tangy kick courtesy of the kimchi. Coupled with the steak and the egg, though, it is an experience that’s out-of-this-world.
Heaven on a platter, guys. Heaven on a platter.
If you’re ever in the mood to spoil yourself. This place is for you! Perfect ambience, perfect food! Take. Me. Back. Please. LOL
The Wildflour: Cafe & Bakery is located at 4th Ave. Cor. 26th St., Fort Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Metro Manila.
In other unrelated news, my blog just turned 1 yesterday! GAAAAAH! I can’t believe it’s already been a year since I started this blog. Thank you so much to everyone who’s followed this blog! I hope you guys don’t ever stop! Lastly, watch out for my anniversary post this Sunday! :D
