If you’ve been following me on Twitter or Instagram, then you most probably know that the intense summer heat has most definitely revived my sunnies obsession, but now, with my slightly altered, slightly more matured taste, I find myself setting my sights on more modern and definitely more unique styles. Wayfarers and aviators will always ALWAYS be awesome but it’s always good to try something new, yeah?

That’s where Charlie comes in. I’ve always admired this brand from afar but I never really got around to getting anything there because they sold mostly plain tees and jeans for guys. Recently though, I’ve been hearing much buzz about their sunnies even from the great bloggers, Camille Co and Patricia Prieto, which is why I knew I had to check it out!





True enough, I found this lovely pair. If I’m not mistaken, these are called Clubmasters? I’m not really sure, basta may “club” something. Hahahaha!

Designs like these are so refreshing and they surely set you apart from the crowd. Also, lakas maka-chill vibes! LOL



Of course, there’s also a story behind my love for them. I’ve always looked at sunglasses as just a mere accessory to shield your eyes from the sun’s rays, but it’s just so much more than that!

Last summer, I experienced getting lost in Xiamen because we were just about to go home from a trip but since the bus didn’t stop anywhere near the amusement park we were in (Which is really bizarre.), we didn’t have a choice but to brave the heat and walk on the highway going home. Literally. Thank goodness the dorm wasn’t far away at all, and also, I had my shades with me! Magically, it didn’t seem hot at all; as if everything around just sort of mellowed out, and it’s probably what made me get through that experience without much suffering, and of course, I had my friends with me.







I wish I had my Tretorns with me that time though. I feel like I can walk miles with them. Definitely perfect for any trip. :)

Well, this has certainly been a very chatty post! LOL I hope I didn’t bore you with my words! I just think that this blog should be more than just fashion. After all, I have several other passions too! Which is why I subtly added a new button on the sidebar of this blog for… FOOD!

Fashion is certainly an awesome hobby but I really shouldn’t ever forget the other little things that make life so beautiful, so I’m going to make an effort to make this blog more personal and definitely less uniform. This is, after all, my life outside my oversized uniform. ;)
