If you’ve been following this blog, then you probably know that I’ve recently gotten into training myself to become more versatile when it comes to choosing colors for my everyday outfits. Particularly, black and white! So for today, I’ve decided to practice just that through this simple outfit, because let’s face it, with this heat, only a mad man would layer. (-,-)

Shirt from Oxygen, Shorts from Giordano, Shoes from Lacoste, Watch from Tomato Time.

I find solace in the fact that I can still wear long-sleeved shirts so long as their thin and I know that I’m going to somewhere air-conditioned. *Sigh* I haven’t been in the country for the past two summers that I’ve already forgotten how hot it could actually get here!

Back to top, I have so much love for the nautical detail and in the unconventional combination of black and red, too! The tiny red stripes make for a lovely accent to my black and white color scheme. *Clap clap*

Again, my Tomato watch makes an appearance. I can’t thank David Guison enough for posting this on Instagram which led to me discovering this amazing deal. The black and white strap was, put simply, too perfect for this outfit. Haha!

To complete the look, I snagged my dad’s Lacoste shoes. These are probably the most comfortable sneakers I’ve worn in a long time! I mean, seriously!

What do you think? Am I getting better at this black-and-white thing? LOL

Hype this look on lookbook here!
