Simplicity is always a good thing to maintain, especially on days when you absolutely have no idea what to wear. The trick is in how you wear it, and of course, how you style it. In the Philippines, you can’t really do extensive layering and it honestly puzzles me to this day how some bloggers manage to do it! I certainly can’t! Haha!
Cardigan from Uniqlo (Xiamen), Shirt from Giordano, Pants from Giordano, Shoes from ALDO.
Emphasis is key. You can make your simpler outfits a lot more interesting with shots of color; in my case, the giant yellow smiley on my shirt and the maroon laces on my sneaker boots, while adding subtler touches like a simple silver bracelet to complement the calm grays of my outfit is always a winning choice!
Can I just say I love this shirt so freaking much? “Cheer You Up” was a campaign line Giordano launched a few years back, and even though it’s a teeny bit worn out from all the years of wearing, it’s still going to be one of my absolute favorite shirts! It’s pretty hard not to smile when you see the print! It’s all kinds of cute and as the print says, cheery!
If you’ve been following this blog, then you know just how much I’ve used these shoes already, so in an effort to keep things fresh, I finally folded the sides down, which is actually the way it SHOULD be worn! Hahaha halata bang masyadong mahilig sa boots?
And it actually brings me to my next point, a really good way to dress up a particularly simple get-up is to bring the party through the shoes you wear. Stand out with more statement-making shoes!
Anyways, that’s all for now! Happy Sunday, everyone! Hype this on lookbook here.
