Online shopping can be very tricky; the stuff is so nice and unique, but it's usually the case that the stuff is quite pricey, the shipping is even more expensive, and you can't be sure what the items look like when it actually arrives. Despite all these factors though, I remain a fan of online shopping and I'm so excited for more foreign stores to branch out to Philippine waters! About a month ago, I had the privilege to work with NewChic - an up and coming online store that promises fast affordable fashion. Read on to see my experience with it!
The minimalist web design is very pleasing. No bad color choices at all! Don't be thrown by the pink motif though, they have a lot of choices for men. :)
As you can see the prices are quite affordable and there are a lot of styles to choose from. And the result?
I got myself a small everyday bag (800PHP) and a sweatshirt with beautiful embroidery of wings (600PHP)! Unfortunately, both are now unavailable at NewChic, but I can assure you the pieces that replaced them are just as beautiful! I cannot wait to feature the stuff I bought in my future personal style posts!
The Verdict: I'm quite happy with the quality of the products. You definitely get your value for your money. If there's anything I'm not quite crazy about, it's the shipping - which was about 700PHP. Also, the package takes quite a while to arrive, however I'm not really sure if this is due to foreign shipping error or if it's just the very bad local courier system in the Philippines but I got the package a month after I ordered. That aside, I can definitely say I would order again some time in the future. I am absolutely in love with the sweater and I can't wait to overuse it! Haha!

I am not too much a fan of online shopping. I need to be able to try on clothes before I pay for them. I need to be able to handle electronics before I pay for them. Maybe someday, but not yet now.
ReplyDeleteI really don't trust online shopping, unless it is from someone I really know, based on the posts about being not accurate with the pictures. But then again, I'm too lazy to leave the house. I might try this someday.
ReplyDeleteI love online shopping too but I mostly just go for make-up and accessories. I am not brave enough to shop for clothes yet. Lol. I don't want to end up buying something that doesn't fit me well.
