Hong Kong 2013: Madame Tussauds

Madame Tussauds is the most iconic wax gallery in the world. It’s made known to people because of their incredible display of life-sized wax figures of famous celebrities all around the globe! The best part is that you can take all sorts of fun pictures with the figures up close!

On my last trip to HK, I got to visit the Madame Tussauds there. If you go to Victoria Peak at 9pm, you actually get a huge discount on your entrance fee! :D

Even spotted Korean actor Bae Yoong Jun! I remember the days when my mom would go crazy watching his K-Dramas. LOL

image

I’m sure we all know Nicole Kidman.

Brangelina also greets you as you enter the gallery.

image

Twilight, anyone? LOL

Me posing with Meryl Streep. Haha!

Who could forget the queen?

image

And the princess! :O

Particularly loved Audrey Hepburn’s setting. They managed to recreate her famous poster for their exhibit! :D

image

The incredibly huge Yao Ming. Like seriously, his height is UNREAL. I never thought it was possible for someone to be THAT tall.

Some info on Madame Tussauds herself.

Aaaand the artist herself in wax form! Some say it’s a bit creepy but I love how they made her wax figure. There’s something really nice about it, I don’t know.

image

*Cues Hound Dog on jukebox* Elvis is also here, guys. So crazy.

image

Brother and dad posing with The Beatles! Hipsters, rejoice! Haha!

image

And of course the equally iconic Lady Gaga.

My favorite has to be their model of Hugh Jackman. It’s scarily realistic compared to most of the models I’ve seen, but the photos are above are only some of the cool wax figures they have in store for you. The Madame Tussauds gallery is shockingly vast and I’m sure any traveler would enjoy spending time here!

Madame Tussauds is located at Victoria Peak.
