Yellow Day

I figure there’s no better time than now, even though my school didn’t win the finals yesterday. (Insert super sad emoticon here.) Still, I can’t even begin to describe how proud and happy I am at how the Growling Tigers played their hearts out yesterday! So so much respect and admiration goes to our awesome players! Let’s not forget the well-deserved congratulations to supposed-to-be alma mater, DLSU! It really was anybody’s game yesterday, don’t you agree?

Anywho, onto the outfit! In UST, it’s a tradition to wear yellow on the day of a Finals game, hence the term “Yellow Day” and students are encouraged to show their support via a yellow shirt or a UST shirt! Cool, right? I also love the fact that it’s a chance for everyone to wear casual clothes instead of a uniform. LOL

This is what I was supposed to wear to Game 3 which meant that I literally shot this just yesterday. Haha! (Sorry backlogs.) Unfortunately, I was beat to the tickets because of the intense dedication of my schoolmates! Can you believe some were lined up as early as 2 or 3 in the morning for tickets that were going to start selling at 7am? I lined up despite the hopelessness of it all but it’s all good as I spent the entire day with my blockmates right after.

BUUUT, just because I can’t watch the game live doesn’t mean I can’t celebrate Yellow Day on my own! Lo and behold, today’s post! Haha!

Raglans are quite on-trend right now, and even though I don’t usually go for yellow, I knew I had to have it because of the nice pairing with gray and of course, I was running out of yellow things to wear! :)

Even with my shoes, the color yellow was still quite evident and I love that it makes the outfit ten times more cohesive with the subtle “matchy-matchy” thing going on. This is something I think a lot of Thomasians can invest in for future Yellow Days! Yellow kicks to match your yellow shirt! It’s a bit unexpected and it’s a really cool way to stand out! This pair of Milanos came at just the right time! :D

Even if UST didn’t win, there’s no denying the level of talent and skill that was demonstrated yesterday. Still, I am certain that UST will have plenty of opportunities to thrive next season! After all, greatness never ends, right? #GoUSTe and #AN1MO La Salle! :)
