Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen

It feels almost like ramen’s taking over my blog! So today, here’s another ramen place review for you all. I swear we’re almost done with my Ramen series! LOL

Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen is definitely not unheard-of as it is up there with Hokkaido Ramen Santouka. (Review here.) If the lines were crazy at Ramen Santouka then, Ikkoryu definitely does not fall short! When we got there, we were already 6th on the waiting list!

I love that their menu is so clean and simple and you get the information that you want and it’s so easy to pick what you’re in the mood for. :)

If there’s one thing I can say about the place, it’s that it was pretty small which explains why it could only accompany fewer guests. We visited their branch EDSA Shangri-La’s newly-opened East Wing, and they were definitely THE place to go as there was no crowd bigger than the crowd at Ikkoryu.

The servers moved with stunning agility as they were all very anxious to serve everyone as quickly as they can so that the long waiting list can be entertained, miraculously, they’re still very much hospitable to all customers and didn’t make you feel like you were being rushed.

I ordered their specialty which is the Ikkoryu Original Tonkotsu! You can’t go wrong with the dish that carries the restaurant’s name, and I definitely don’t regret ordering it! Their soup has this almost-creamy meaty flavor that is so great with the noodles and everything that accompanies it!

Sadly, for me, though, I think it’s a tie between Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen and Hokkaido Ramen Santouka. Both are so incredibly good that it’s almost impossible to choose!

Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen is open at 5F of EDSA Shangri-La East Wing and also at  2F of SM Aura Premier.
