Happy Friday, guys! Sadly, I can’t get in on the TGIF euphoria everyone else is feeling because I was unlucky enough to be dealt with Saturday classes. Booooo…
And since it’s Friday, I know my foodie readers will be very happy to know it’s Review Day, so let’s get to it, shall we? :D
We would always pass by Breakfast at Antonio’s every time we had a trip to Tagaytay, but we never really got the chance to eat here since there were all these cool choices available, but ever since I read its rave reviews on Yummy magazine as well as saw my favorite bloggers, David Guison and Lissa Kahayon, dine here through their Instagram posts, I convinced my dad to finally try the place!
Before you step into the restaurant, you’ll see a variety of herbs for sale! These are perfect for those who dream of having their own little herb garden at home!
This place reminded me a lot of the lovely Wildflour because of its vintage-y interiors and their awesome bakery! Places like this generate such a cool-and-cozy feeling that really lifts your spirits!
Also for sale are these cool jam preserves! And mind you, they’re not just your run-of-the-mill strawberry jams and orange marmalades, the flavors that they created tickle your curiosity, as well as your taste buds! Other flavors include Banana Macadamia and Fuji Apple! :D
Most of the dishes on the menu are good for only one person with the same price range as the Wildflour, so expect the food to be a tad pricey!
I ordered their pork baby back ribs dish! It came with a side of baked beans as well as their own java rice. I must say, it’s probably not the best thing on the menu but it was definitely great! I really love the sweet nutty roasted flavor of the ribs. It totally complemented the subtle taste of the java rice! :)
Their stuffed roast chicken is a winner, as well. Aside from a chicken roasted to perfection, inside are really delicious surprises: potatoes! It also comes with a sauce that I sadly forgot to include in a photo. You should definitely try this dish when you drop by! Totally worth it.
Breakfast at Antonio’s is located along Aguinaldo Highway, Barangay Bagong Tubig, Tagaytay City.
Anyways, that’s all for now, guys! Watch out for my outfit post on Sunday, as always! :)
