A few Saturdays back, my family was invited to attend a wedding reception at Makati’s Raffles Hotel. If there was something I definitely remember about that day, it’s that my parents were in such a terrible hurry because they were already late for the traditional march of the sponsors. You see, my parents were asked to be the godparents for the wedding, hence the big big role in the ceremonial stuff. To keep with the wedding motif, guests who weren’t part of the entourage weren’t allowed to wear black so as usual, I went with my all-time favorite: pastels.
As you can see, I had no one that day to take my outfit shots so I had to do it the extremely hard way. Haha!
This was the setting in the ballroom! Everything was practically tinted with this clubby pink color!
I’m pretty thankful that I inherited this camera, otherwise this entire post would go sideways.
I discovered this little trick that night. WHY DID I NEVER THINK OF THIS BEFORE. I’ve been seeing it so much on TV but I never figured out how they do it. Silly me, right? All you had to do was fold the sleeve back and button it! Though I usually pull my sleeves up, this is a very welcome and also formal change, and I think I really need that right now. Haha!
Cardigan from Uniqlo, Shirt from Magnum, Pants from Giordano, Shoes from Pedro.
My outfit’s like this big gradient of cream to brown. There’s something about color palettes like this that’s just so suitable for formal occasions.
I’m so glad I bought these when I got the chance! I love the modern take on the classic brogue! White soles are so so awesome!
I was in such a pastel-y mood, even my iPhone case was in a lovely mint! Did I mention I’ve recently inherited my dad’s old iPhone 4? GAAAAH! Words aren’t enough to express how excited I am to collect cases!
Here’s also another surprise that’s literally up my sleeve, this amazingly gorgeous watch from Kenneth Cole! Looking at this photo still makes my heart jump. I can’t believe I finally have it! The detailing is just perfection. I can’t wait to wear it to defenses during college when we’re required to go all-corporate. Not sure though if that’s what they do in UST too. :
Anyways, that was my Saturday night. (At least, a few weeks ago, it was. LOL) ‘Til next time!
