Seventeen

Backlit photos are the absolute best, aren’t they? Haha! I thought I’d go all bongga just for my birthday post. Yep, as it is very obvious from the title, I just turned seventeen last week! As to why I posted my birthday entry so late, well, you can blame that on the mountains of travel posts on queue! LOL now that those are done, I’m so excited to share my latest photos with the new camera! I must say, I think I’m getting the hang of putting it on the right setting. You be the judge!

2012 was definitely about learning for me, and it really couldn’t be more surreal an experience when I think about all of it right now. My year’s had its fair share of downs, but it definitely doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy it! If there’s anything I learned, it’s to take everything as a lesson of sorts. Sometimes, you may not even realize it, but you’re already learning; even from something as simple as taking a scene in and traveling from place to place.

Style-wise, I think 2012 is the year that my style evolved the most, and I honestly owe it all to this hobby of mine. If it weren’t for blogging, I never would’ve discovered those bloggers that I know consider to be a few of my personal idols. I discovered my love for studying different theories and philosophies about fashion, among other things. In short, it was like this dream school outside of high school and I honestly couldn’t wait to get home and read the next post, as well as write mine.

But then again, I must get back to my look! I can’t stress enough how giddy I am to finally own a vintage Casio watch! I’ve been lusting over it for a few months now. Having it finally feeds my watch craving! While we’re talking accessories, I also went out and widened my arm party repertoire because my old ones needed a vacation! Haha!

Sorry, I really can’t get over how nice my photos are for a change! Canon will always be the most perfect when it comes to cameras. Period. LOL

As they say, when we age, everything about us ages too. My outfit post today is a clear example of that. If you showed this to me a few years ago, I’d never think of wearing something like this. I’d like to say my taste has become a lot more sophisticated but I make sure to include the playfulness that I so love implementing in my clothes. In this case, the sneakers and the arm party! I’m sure there’s going to be a day when I’ll love brogues more than my comfy comfy sneakers, but it’s just not going to be today. :)
