Malaysia 2012: Legoland

On our final day in Malaysia, we finally visited one of the country’s main highlights: Legoland! When I first heard about it from my parents, I really really didn’t know what to expect. I just vividly remember finding the prospect of everything crafted by Lego bricks really funny! Before we started though, our tour guide brought us to a mall just right across Legoland, the Mall of Medini!

The Mall of Medini had this lovely au natural vibe to it that really reminded me of fancy malls here in Manila such as Serendra and Bonifacio High Street. Anyways, we settled finally on eating lunch at a “Cowboy” themed restaurant. Unfortunately, I can’t remember the name anymore, but I DEFINITELY remember the food being really affordable at the time because they were having their Christmas promo. Steak meals were less than half the original price so I went on ahead and got their lambchobs! Gosh, it was nothing short of perfect! If you ever go to the Mall of Medini, you should try it! It’s the first restaurant you’ll see on your left when you enter the mall.

After the scrumptious meal, we finally tackle Legoland!

After you pass the little bench area by the entrance, you’re immediately greeted with a bunch of jaw-droppingly awesome life-sized lego figures!

Isn’t the kid on the right so very adorable? I remember him looking all confused because he wasn’t sure what his mom wanted him to do! LOL

And of course, what’s a theme park without the rides? Legoland has a lot of fun rides that are not boring but not heart-stopping either. A rookie roller coaster rider will surely get his taste for fun rides here!

Project X was the only ride I went to twice because the lines went so fast! Also because it was the scariest ride I’ll go to! Hahaha!

The most epic of rides in the park is definitely the Dragon at Fantasy Land. The ride looked so scary that I didn’t dare line up, but I really regret doing so after realizing it’s not as crazy as I previously thought. (But still pretty scary, though!)

Here are some more of the rides at the park.

After the Imagination part of the park, you’re brought to probably one of the most amazing things you will ever see: Legoland’s collection of Asian landmarks! Here, you will see amazing recreations (By Lego.) of cities, temples, and various heritage sites all over the continent!

Aaaand here’s the Philippines!

I felt that nothing came close to the recreation of Kuala Lumpur. They practically made the entire city! The Twin Towers and the TV Tower looked so real that on photos, you can’t even tell the difference!

After going crazy photographing everything I could of the amazing Lego cities, my siblings and I settled on checking out the gift stores. You actually have a choice to create your very own personalized Lego person! The little guy below is my creation! Haha!

With that amazing view, I end my Malaysia 2012 travel posts! There’s still so much to post from my travels! Mainly, Singapore and a whole bunch of outfit posts! ‘Til next time!
