We started our second day with a short stroll around the area in Causeway Bay. Ultimately, we ended up getting some breakfast at a nearby McDonalds! Can’t say I didn’t enjoy myself, because when is it NOT fun to have breakfast at McDonalds? LOL #Matakaw
Afterwards, we took the MTR to Dong Cheng station where the cable cars to Ngong Ping Village is. The ride’s quite long but I assure you, the Ngong Ping Village experience isn’t the only thing available in Dong Cheng. It’s also where the famous Citygate Outlets are located! (Blogging about my shopping experience as a whole soon! Yes, there’s a totally separate post for that)
We rode on the crystal cars because even the floor is transparent and you can just have so much fun admiring the view from the top! :)
Views from the cable car.
It also feels like you’re floating because of the transparent floor! Definitely not for those afraid of heights though.
The famous Buddha statue of Ngong Ping from afar. The view of this from the cable car is just so stunning, to say the least.
And Ngong Ping Village proper! I love the crisp old-world Chinese charm of the place! Also where I took my outfit shots lol.
We checked out this food store that sold traditional delicacies (Usually dried meat and preserved stuff) as well as…
These adorable fruit ice treats!
We then headed to the big Buddha which isn’t really too long a walk from the village.
The stairs leading to the Buddha are the most challenging part of this excursion. It is impossibly long! It’s pretty cool though, when you get to the top. It’s when you realize just how humungous the statue really is.
Heavenly picture is heavenly. I love how the light intervened in this photo.
And that’s it for now! I hope everyone’s had a great Friday! :)
